Derbados 2024 is going to be a fun-fuelled day packed with fun cycling-based activities, leaving you, your family, and your friends positively inspired to watch the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris.
During the day you will have the chance to have a taster on the Track. The taster will be run by two qualified cycling coaches, and they will run a safe and fun session allowing you to learn how to ride the cycling track.
The minimum age for the track is 9 years old.
With every Derbados there is a cycling challenge, this year's challenge is the Flying Lap!
The Flying Lap is one timed lap of the Velodrome, this will happen straight after your taster.
For all those that complete the flying lap you will receive an Exclusive Derbados Medal, and winners of the lap will receive an Exclusive Derbados Prize!
For those that are too young for the track, do not fear! During the day we will be running Balance Bike sessions allowing your young child to practice the basics of cycling in a safe and fun way. All those who complete the course will receive a medal.
The Balance Bike course sessions are free!
To coincide with the Olympic & Paralympic theme, the Strength & Conditioning Team at Derbyshire Institute of Sport will be running fun cycling/sporting-based challenges to pit against your family and friends.
